Dr. Ju-Hyung Rhi is a specialist in the Buddhist Art of Gandhara and Professor of Asian Art and Archaeology at Seoul National University. His lecture celebrates the opening of the exhibition of Gandharan Sculpture at the Georgia Museum of Art, Images of Awakening: Buddhist Sculpture from Afghanistan and Pakistan and is also the Keynote address for the Symposium to be held on March 23-24 at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, The Buddha Image in South Asia: Trans-Regional Diversity, Iconographic Innovation and Localized Idioms.
