His lecture celebrates the opening of the exhibition of Gandharan Sculpture at the Georgia Museum of Art, Images of Awakening: Buddhist Sculpture from Afghanistan and Pakistan and is also the Keynote address for the Symposium to be held on March 23-24 at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, The Buddha Image in South Asia: Trans-Regional Diversity, Iconographic Innovation and Localized Idioms.
